BRNC Trafalgar Night Dinner Thursday 13th October 2022

On Thursday 13th October 2022 a reduced sized concert band performed for an evening dinner in the Senior Gun Room at BRNC to commemorate the Battle of Trafalgar, the Royal Navy's most celebrated Naval victory.

The quick marches Trafalgar and Viscount Nelson were featured and of course, the obligatory verses and choruses of Rule Britannia and Hearts of Oak were resoundingly sung by all who attended. It was a raucous and lively evening!

The varied program was selected by our conductor Mr Colin Crossman and included a selection of pieces including, All Through The Night, Italian Festival, Anything Goes, Danny Boy, Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines, the Sailors Hornpipe, the theme from The Archers, Barwick Green and a few more.

Here's a great photo from the evening of Charlie our Alto Sax player and her Grandad, Bill on Trombone, playing beside each other! Isn't that fantastic. Well done to you both.

Colin, relaxing and gathering his thoughts in between pieces...
