Dear Band Happy Valentines Day ❤️ I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. Just to follow up on Graham’s last email, here’s a simple ABC for you all to remember... Attendance Attend all rehearsals and engagements. This Band is a lifestyle commitment. Valid reasons for absences are e.g. bereavement, serious medical issues, extreme weather conditions. There have been too many instances recently that have resulted in band members not attending for the weakest of reasons. This year we have not yet had a single rehearsal with the Band at full compliment! Blow Blow your instruments in between rehearsals i.e. Tuesday to Sunday. Monday evenings are not 'Band practice' they are rehearsals and they are not for you to practice your instruments, nor your instrumental parts. Play at different pitches with your tuner which of course, you have either downloaded to your phone (for free) or bought a stand alone device by now. Meaning you can confidently play your instrument in tune when you arrive at rehearsals. Communicate Chat to your friends, family and anyone else who will listen to you about the Band! We need to sell tickets and we also need more players - Bass player(s), French Horns, Trombones and Clarinets. This is a different band to the one we left behind in September last year. We are now self-financing and self-helping. It is not going to work if you just turn up, click your instrument together, blow it then stick it back in its box until next Monday. We need you to be more responsible and more responsive to our quest, to your quest. We all made a commitment back in September so please, let's commit to raising the standard of the Band and to supporting Graham to produce some excellent performances that we can all be proud of. We have booked in some first class venues and they will expect a first class performance, which I know we can do. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that we follow this simple ABC to safeguard the future of this fine Band. See you tonight. Best wishes Phil

Hi everyone, Please could you do me a favour, I’m just testing the features in the Members Area on the website. So this is the Forum where we can discuss and share things. Please could you just join in with this discussion and set up a little conversation so that I can see how it interacts with us all. This could be very useful if we wanted to hold discussions that we didn’t want to air in public I.e. Facebook and where we could see notifications come through etc. Anyway, let’s give it a go and see how it works. Thank you 😊👍
