The last gig for 2022 was performed by a mixed Quartet comprising of Rose on Flute, Maxine on Oboe, Mick on Sax and Caleb on Euph. There was supposed to be a fifth on Trumpet but unfortunately poor old Phil has Covid, so we wish him a speedy recovery for Christmas! Armed with the trusty ‘little red Christmas books’ the Quartet played through a variety of favourite carols as the guests at the BRNC Christmas Ball 2022 arrived and enjoyed their welcome drinks.
We joined in with the festivities with an excellent glass of Prosecco, which kept the music swinging along nicely. We finished just in time to watch the spectacular fireworks display on the parade ground which is an incredible vantage point with the lights of the town nestling down in the valley and the Castles and sea beyond. It was a wonderful finale to our season of Christmas performances.
